Singing Day Welcome

“Sing for Spring” Concert

NESingers wowed the crowd at Neston Parish Church on Friday 17th May with a lively concert featuring their new varied repertoire. Highlights included Paul Mealor’s “Wherever You Are”, and an unaccompanied arrangement of “With a little help from my friends”.
We were delighted to welcome Voci Celesti who sang two a cappella duets for us as well as Becky Hay and Tamsyn Casley from Chester who performed the comic “Cats’ Duet” by Rossini. The audience were invited to join in with a favourite Beatles song and “Sing” by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd-Webber made famous by the recent Golden Jubilee celebrations and enjoyed a glass of wine and a few nibbles during the interval.

The newly rebranded NESingers launched last night with their AGM and first rehearsal. Grateful thanks were offered to members of the choir for their support over the years. The team directing the new venture presented the new direction for the choir. Not to be outdone by any military wives the choir have started working on Paul Mealor’s – Wherever you are and You Raise me up.
